The theme of the competition is ‘Snowdrops’
The theme is open to the interpretation of the photographer
Think about snowdrops in unusual places, close-ups or with people,
or massed, potted up, in the ground, or in unusual places;
crisp colour, or defining black and white.

For this first year of the festival you may enter existing images you have

Prints should be a minimum of 7x5 inches and no greater than 10x8 inches. Digital images should be a minimum of 2 megapixels and no greater than 8 megapixels. |

To enter a print, take a photograph of snowdrops and send a print of it to us with your completed entry form, click here, attached to the back of the print to:

To enter a digital image, take a photograph of snowdrops, complete an online entry form with the file name of the image at Lavlaron here then send your image via WeTransfer here to: yourphotos@sheptonsnowdropfestival.org.uk.
Please ensure that you sign your online form with an uploaded image of your signature. Photos submitted on-line must be scanned to ensure that they are free from computer viruses. |

and the Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival are hosting a PRACTICAL PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP focussing on TIPS FOR PHOTOGRAPHING FLOWERS |

Rules
One image per entrant.
Prints should be a minimum of 7x5 inches and no greater than 10x8 inches. Digital images should be a minimum of 2 megapixels and no greater than 8 megapixels Entry fee is £3.00 This has been waived for this inaugural year of the Festival. The decision of the judges will be final. All entries to be submitted by 11 February 2017 |
Please make sure you have any necessary permissions to take photographs.
Consent is to be granted for images showing children by completing the appropriate section of the entry form. Images showing children will not be accepted for the competition and be destroyed if permission has not been granted by the parent or guardian. The Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival reserves the right to publish winning photographs and to use entries to promote the Snowdrop Festival in the future. We regret it will not be possible to return photographs. |
