Celebrate the Snowdrop King
Sunday 17th 1:30, leaving from Highfield House
Every year we hold a procession from James Allen's home to his resting place in the Shepton Mallet Cemetery and plant snowdrops on his grave. It's a colourful, lively and celebratory procession right through the centre of town - just over half a mile in length
Bands in the Market Place
Saturday 16th 10:00 & 12:00
As well as the procession on Sunday, we will also have two bands playing in the Market Place on Saturday
Desmond's Dawn - 10:00
Male and female group formed by Al Cosnett and Jo Munroe, the songwriters of Desmond’s Dawn, combining smouldering vocals, syncopated guitars, groove driven bottleneck, breathless harmonica and percussive beats to fill your head and move your feet. Now joined by the steamy Lela Mai on fiddle, dance master Stevie Stephen Steve on bass and the flaming James Sayer on drums, forming a sound we like to call flunk.
Think you’ll soon be bopping along with our catchy and unique numbers.
