Specialist
Plant
Sales

Usually over the two days of the Festival, specialist growers of snowdrops would be displaying and selling from their extensive collections of named varieties but due the pandemic this isn't possible.  Our suppliers are listed below with links to their websites where you can see the varieties available and purchase direct

On first glance you might think that all snowdrops are the same - just white petals and green foliage - but look more closely and you'll see subtle and fascinating differences in size, markings and habit that make collectors continue to seek them out today. At the Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival you'll see an incredible range of snowdrops in flower, but be warned, you too might just run the risk of getting the galanthophile bug!

The Avon Bulbs Snowdrop List probably includes a broader range of specialist snowdrop than any other nursery.   They propagate more than 120 different varieties, some of which it will be on display and for sale in the Festival Marquees.
Avon Bulbs is a regular Gold medal winner at RHS Flower Shows including their Early Spring Plant Fair each February where the snowdrops are the main attraction.
The diversity and breadth of their snowdrop collection is the culmination of many years collecting, maintaining, cosseting, twin scaling and nurturing by Alan Street, the head nurseryman at Avon Bulbs.  We're very pleased to welcome back this Somerset nursery to this year's Shepton Mallet Snowdrop Festival.

In addition to its snowdrop collection, TriffidsNursery  has developed a strong reputation for quality bulbs and shade loving plants, including Epimedium, as well as a range of traditional and unusual perennials.
Jackie Williams of Triffids Nursery, a familiar face at Shepton Mallet's Friday Market, is also a specialist snowdrop grower and will be at the Festival for the weekend.

In the last couple of years, Jackie has taken on a collection from an established snowdrop garden that needed to find a new home, and will bring a great range of snowdrops to the Festival again this year.
